So long spiral bound grade books!

Engrade is quite the remarkable tool. The ease of use alone makes it the hands down choice in my mind for grading. The use of an electronic grading system give the teachers an opportunity to incorporate the grades instantaneously to a class newsletter that parents may have access to view. Offering the parents the opportunity to know when tests and assignments are due. With the ease of the electronic grade book all of the steps above can be carried out within 5 minutes at the end of each school day. Obviously figuring that each home has a computer and internet. For other homes printout of all the information can be constructed and sent home. Either can be set up at the beginning of each year.
A sample of my Engrade site that I set up. Showing grades, projects, and class averages for my eight student.

  1. Corey,
I like your idea of printing out the information for those parents who do not have access to a computer. As I was evaluating Engrade myself, I thought of the fact that some parents may not have access to computers as one of Engrade's only downfalls. However, I think this would be a great solution. I thought this program was very straight-forward and the lack of cost alone is reason enough for any school to consider it as a grading program for their district. This type of grading and attendance keeping will create a clear-cut and organized system for teachers and students alike.
